Goals Evaluation
Objective 1:
Provide organizational support for Asian American and Pacific Islander faculty and staff of Washington State University.
Conducted 6 meetings throughout the school year.
Disseminated 7 fliers informing individuals of meetings.
Sent voice mails of agenda items to Faculty and Staff.
Established AAPI Listproc to inform members of the community of key events.
Represented AAPI Community in the Faculty Staff of Color Coalition (now Alliance).
Conducted 2 pot luck meetings.
Co-sponsored a banquet recognizing AAPI Faculty and Staff Grant Recipients.
Objective 2:
Represent the needs and concerns of Asian American and Pacific Islander faculty and staff of Washington State University.
Lead inquiries by Faculty Staff of Color Coalition as of E. San Juans allegations of racist practices at WSU.
Handed out survey inquiring regarding climate and issues revolving around AAPI Faculty and Staff issues.
Conducted Open Forums for members with members to discuss concerns in their community.
Created panel presentation regarding Tenure/Promotion issues and bridging communication barriers between AAPI faculty and students.
AAPI Enhancement Grants Awarded.
Contributed to the Multicultural Roundtable Program with Tim Weiss.
Contributed to the AAPI Center Graduation.
Contributed to AAPI Awareness Month.
Co-Sponsored banquet with Association for Pacific and Asian Women and the Pacific Islander Club.
Objective 3:
To facilitate the professional growth for Asian American and Pacific Islander faculty and staff of Washington State University.
Faculty and Staff Enhancement Grants Awarded.
Created panel presentation regarding Tenure/Promotion issues and bridging communication barriers between AAPI faculty and students.
Created AAPI Faculty Staff Association Website.
Contributed towards brochure "The Specifics on Asian/Pacifics", a comprehensive guide towards resources for Asian/Pacific Americans in the Palouse.
Objective 4:
Educate the WSU and larger Pullman community about Asian American and Pacific Islander issues.
Contributed to AAPI Awareness Month activities.
Had an End of Year Banquet with short presentation and fliers on the AAPI F&S Association.
Monetary and volunteered with the Multicultural Roundtable sponsored by Washington Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development, Office of Superintendent of Public Institutions and Washington State University.
Objective 5:
To support the university’s commitment to recruit and retain faculty, staff and students of color.
